Easy POS1 tagging for make benefit glorious class of CS674.
As the project requires extensive feature extraction, here are a example interface file between the Stanford maximum entropy POS tagger and Matlab. Also, I had a file that showed how to use the tagger as an easy ad-don in a Java program itself, which is somewhat like the demo file provided in the package but devoid of any frills.
The files themselves contain elaborate instructions on how to use them. The tagger can be downloaded from:

(I would recommend downloading the Basic Tagger v1.6, as it contains models only for the English language.)
